Still in the Gulf of Mexico. A close unpleasant morning. Nearly all the Sisters sick and enervated. Performed our usual devotions, as well as our situation would permit. Two of the Sisters spent the greater part of the morning in taking care of a poor woman, who appeared to be without a friend to assist her. The doctor was much pleased with the improvement made in her health by the attention of the Sisters. Heavy rain nearly all the afternoon. Passengers not very well. The steamer stopped some time during the night on account of the fog, and being among the Bahama Islands.
